Every Way to Use It

🏕️
Land & Access
Trade your land for their land Top Play
Own or lease? Offer whitetail access in Ohio for early archery in Kentucky. Cover new states and new species — every single season.
Ohio farmer trades whitetail access for a Kentucky farm’s early archery season.
🔑
Land & Access
Unlock private land you’d never find otherwise
Hunt Trades is a direct line to verified landowners who want a trusted partner — not a cold stranger knocking on their door.
No land of your own? Trade a skill, service, or gear instead — see below.
🗺️
Land & Access
Hunt a new state every season
Find verified locals willing to host in exchange for something you can offer back home. No outfitters. No booking fees.
Indiana member hosts a Michigan hunter in Ohio — Michigan hunter returns the invite up north.
🛠️
Skills & Services
Labor & habitat work for access No Land Needed
Food plots, fence repair, stand hanging, habitat improvement — landowners constantly need help. Trade sweat equity for a full season.
“I’ll hang 4 stands + plant your food plot in exchange for 3-day bow season access.”
🎥
Skills & Services
Film or photograph a hunt for access
Can you film, edit, or shoot photos? Offer to document a hunt. They get content for social — you get days in the field. Perfect for Field Staff.
Produce a 3-min hunt film for their social in exchange for 4-day hosted access.
🍖
Skills & Services
Trade meat processing or cooking skills
Know how to break down a deer or make quality sausage? That skill is worth more than you think to the right landowner. Seriously underutilized.
🐕
Skills & Services
Offer your trained dog
A solid retriever or bird dog is serious trade currency. Waterfowl and upland hunters without dogs will trade a lot for a great one.
🎣
Fishing
Private pond & lake access Underused
Stocked ponds and private lakes are gold. Fishermen who’d pay $300/day for bass or catfish access will gladly trade for it.
“Private 12-acre stocked pond — seeking someone who can help with dock repairs.”
Fishing
Trade a guided boat trip for a guided hunt
Own a boat and know your water? That’s massive currency. Swap a full guided fishing day for deer or turkey access on someone’s land.
Lake Erie walleye guide trades a full-day charter for whitetail access in rural Ohio.
📷
Gear & Knowledge
Offer gear for access
Trail cams, stands, blinds, optics — landowners always need equipment. The right offer opens the right gate. Don’t overlook this play.
“Offering 3 Stealth Cam trail cameras for a 5-day early season whitetail hunt.”
📍
Gear & Knowledge
Trade local scouting intel
Know your home county cold? Pre-scout, pull trail cam data, and identify stand locations for an out-of-state hunter — in exchange for reciprocal access.
🌐
Long Game
Build a multi-state hunting network
Stack trades over multiple seasons. After a few years: Ohio whitetail, a Kentucky early bow hunt, Michigan property, and a Lake Erie fishing slot — all through barter relationships you own.
